Life on the planet T'nane is inhospitable to human life,
more so since the unfortunate expedition which landed on this noisome planet believed
it to be conducive life; however, the planet with its unknown cycles of gas production
is now a home for the unlucky collection of Mothers, Grunts and Witcdoctors. When the AI Ganesh
is compromised by the apparent misguided dreams of a Grunt named Marcsson, a young shotgun named
Kalypso Deed is held accountable for his actions.
This turned out to be a rather jaded read punctuated with information about the biological makeup
of the organisms of T'nane. The main character is simply a bore, the planet's ecology is never satisfyingly
brought to a level of understanding I could appreciate, and the plot is just a rag tag collection of
events hoisted upon Kalypso through those she once thought she truly knew. This is a novel with good
ideas bogged by down by totally forgettable occurrences and characters.
